What’s new with Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management? (Dynamics 365 Copilot)

Microsoft announced new Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management capabilities via Dynamics 365 Copilot to respond and adjust purchase orders, and assess impact and risk to optimize sourcing decisions. AI will present and summarize changes in the procurement pipeline and combine them with the calculated downstream impact on production, planned service, and sales.

What was the need for this feature? Dynmics 365 Copilot

With Dynamics 365 Copilot, procurement professionals can optimize sourcing decisions by allowing AI to summarize changes across large amounts of data and assess downstream impacts like delays in customer deliveries. The purchase order impact summarization empowers users to quickly and efficiently act on purchase order changes to make data-driven decisions and minimize risk. This provides a new way of preparing decision-ready information and focusing on the essentials helps to keep the procurement pipeline running and users to focus on handling exceptions.

How does this compare to competitor offerings?

AI-powered purchase order impact summaries are unique to the market. We are not aware of any direct competitors providing similar functionality to users at this time.
